Joint Civic Committee on Elections records (Chicago History Museum) plus a detailed description, date, and box/folder number of a specific item.

Reports, meeting minutes, correspondence, and other records of the Joint Civic Committee on Elections (JCCE), a non-partisan committee that sought to improve the administration of elections in Chicago (Ill.). Materials include election procedure, charts of election schedules, and poll watchers' and related reports, as well as materials documenting the purposes of the organization, its sponsors, its activities, delegates, etc.

The Joint Civic Committee on Elections (JCCE) was a non-partisan committee that sought to improve the administration of elections in Chicago (Ill.). In 1939, the Citizens' Association of Chicago (CAC) and six other better government groups joined to form the JCCE. The Committee's objectives included preventing unlawful practices at the polls making voters aware of election processes. Committee members observed polling places and reported on allegedly fraudulent voting.

Related materials at Chicago History Museum, Research Center, include materials on the founding of the JCCE in the Citizens' Association of Chicago records (M1966.0572+), as well as publications of the JCCE, catalogued separately.
