- AbstractThis collection consists of Anthony Rayson's personal zines, prisoners' writings, interview recordings and transcripts, and political writings on anarchist, feminist, punk, queer and anti-racist subjects. Note to researchers: There is overlap between the series in this collection. For example, works associated with the Black Panther Party may be found in series 3, Social/Political, as well as series 2, Prison. Named individual prisoners, such as Kevin Johnson (Rashid), may also be affiliated with the Black Panther Party. Cross-references have been created throughout the collection to help facilitate these connections.
Anthony Rayson (b. 1954) is a writer, political activist, and self-described anarchist. He authors the zine Thought Bombs, contributes to numerous other zines, and assists incarcerated people with the publication and distribution of their own zines. He operates South Chicago ABC Zine Distro, a distribution network for zines to both individuals and prisons.
