Charles MacMurray was a graphic designer in Chicago. He began his career designing logos, signs and other graphic materials as Manager of Graphics and Packaging for Latham-Tyler-Jensen in the early 1960s. In the late 1970s, MacMurray opened his own firm, Charles MacMurray Design. His clients included the American academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Borg-Warner, Harris Bank and Bang & Olufsen. MacMurray was President of the Society of Typographic Arts in 1963-1964 and a member of the group 27 Chicago Designers.

This collection contains correspondence, speeches, research material, design samples, photographs and slides documenting the design work of Charles MacMurray.
