  • AbstractIn 2012, Lara Kelland, a history instructor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, taught a history course in which she and her students interviewed members of the Illinois Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty and people who were sympathetic to the Coalition's goals. These interviews were recorded as digital files, and those files have been copied onto DVD's.

The UIC library might not have the audio-visual equipment necessary for patrons to watch or listen to these interviews. Patrons who wish to view or listen to the interviews are advised to call before coming. Patrons may view/listen to only the "use copies."

This collection contains DVD's that record interviews of nine persons affiliated with or sympathetic to the goals of the Illinois Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty. These interviews were conducted in 2012, after the Coalition achieved its goal to end capital punishment in Illinois. Patrons may use only the "use copies." The library may not have the audio-visual equipment necessary to view or listen to these interviews. Patrons are advised to call ahead before coming to Special Collections.
