  • Collection summary Three-quarter length profile portrait of Russell Pethrick sitting in a police station in the Englewood community area of Chicago, Illinois. Pethrick was the accused murderer of Mrs. Ella Coppersmith and her infant son, John L. Coppersmith, on May 6, 1915. Pethrick said he killed Mrs. Coppersmith after a quarrel about payment for the meat he had delivered.
