  • Collection summary Image of Joseph Osborne's covered wagon, parked on an overgrown field in the Grand Crossing triangle at 76th Street and Chauncey Avenue in the Greater Grand Crossing community area of Chicago, Illinois. Osborne was a British Army deserter, and lived as a hermit for the rest of his life. He was murdered because it was thought he had a hoard of money. A policeman is in the background of the image.
