  • Collection summary Exterior view of the Pekin Cafe from across the street, located at the corner of 27th Street and South State Street in the Douglas community area of Chicago, Illinois. Site where policemen James A Mulcahy and William Hennessey were murdered. The cafe also was known as the Pekin-Beaux Arts Cafe. Hershie Miller, or Hirsche Miller, and Samuel Morton were accused of the killing but not convicted.
