  • Collection summary Elevated view from the north of buildings under construction along what was then Leif Erikson Drive before the official opening of Chicago's Century of Progress International Exposition of 1933-1934. Three of the five pavilions of the General Exhibits group, designed by Harvey Wiley Corbett, can be seen on the right side of the photograph. Buildings on the left side (begining from the lower corner) are a concession building, the Christian Science Monitor Pavilion, and the Blue Ribbon Restaurant. This area is currently occupied by McCormick Place and Museum Campus.
