This location was recommended for a shopping center development in the Mayor's Architectural Advisory Committee proposal for Lawndale. The complete proposal was published under the title "Neighborhood revitalization, Lawndale community: overview". The Sears, Roebuck and Company complex, including the Sears Merchandise Building Tower is partially visible in the distance.
