Wilson, C.W. Schultz, Warren LeBock, Robert Martin, Senator George McGovern, and Joseph Kane; aerial views of the statue of Ceres by sculptor John H. Storrs atop the CBOT building; and the Sears tower under construction. Also pictured is Hubert Humphrey.

  • Biographical or Historical Note
    • Joseph Kane became a member of the CBOT in 1952 and traded until 1998. He served on the CBOT board of directors from the mid-1960s to the mid-1970s.
    • Joseph Kane, known primarily as a soybean trader, became a member of the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) in 1952 and stopped trading in 1998. Kane served on the CBOT board of directors from the mid-1960s to the mid-1970s, was head of the CBOT public relations committee for a number of years, and served on the committee in Washington, DC to establish and structure the Commodity Futures Trading Commisssion.
