    • This is a collection of maps relating to counties in Illinois. Some maps include insets of more than one time period and this is indicated in the Contents note. Maps often show specific townships within counties. Maps often show subdivision of areas into lots and often relate to census, real estate promotion and sales. Streets, railroad lines, parks, and other local features often are indicated. Maps may relate to an area before or after its annexation to these counties.
