The scrapbook contains photographs, concert programs, ticket stubs, autographs of classmates, etc., from Deerfield-Shields Township High School, Highland Park (Ill.); the "Marriage Service" volume lists the wedding vows along with Joan's descriptions of the courtship, marriage, and first anniversaries. Also present are a memorial service booklet (typed version) on the death of Joan's mother, Ada Josephine Rhinehart, December 23, 1927; Joan's notes about a Red Cross course, 1942; and letters to Joan from her estranged husband, 1942-43.
