  • Collection summary Albums consist mainly of cabinet cards and cartes-de-visite portraits of the Miller-Barnard family and their friends. Also includes some informal snapshots of family groups.
  • Biographical or Historical Note Frederick Barnard (1838-ca. 1914) came to Chicago in 1857 from England and set up, with the Miller family, a successful law printing office. His daughter, Albertine, married John Jacob Miller. They had a daughter, Jeanette.
