  • Collection summary Primarily includes commercial photography for various clients by professional photographer and photographic writer Rus Arnold, who resided in Chicago's Hyde Park community for much of his career. Includes images of homes, organizations, industries and business enterprises in Chicago, Illinois, and other locations in the United States. A few photographs may have been taken for the Hyde Park Community Conference or other organizations in the Hyde Park-Kenwood area. Also includes views of homes, parks, recreation facilities, transportation facilities, animals, and zoos. Many photographs show people, some identified, and the Arnold family, especially his four children. Includes some experimental photography with products or techniques.
