  • Collection summary Photographs of artwork, judging activities, and general views of the annual 57th Street Art Fair in Chicago (Ill.). Also includes posters, generally by Hyde Park community artists, advertising the fair in various years; collection contains most post posters from the Fair's inception in 1948 through 2002. Also includes a text panel from the Al Fresco exhibition marking the 30th annual fair. Videotapes include the documentary "A Vision Comes to Life: Chicago's 57th Street Art Fair, The First Fifty Years" with an introduction and roundtable with Studs Terkel; also includes uncut interviews with the following people involved in the art fair: Sonia Katz, Egon Weiner, Sylvester Britton, Harold Haydon, Takihishi, Aaron Malsai, Mary Louise Womer, Vi Fogle Uretz, Ruth Ducworth, Morris Barazani, Gail Barazani, and Richard Hunt.
