  • Collection summary Attendance record books, meeting minutes, and financial records of the Pullman School. The majority of the collection is attendance books for both day and evening (adult) school that also note age, ethnicity, and address of the students. The school may have originally served both high school and elementary school students. In addition are several volumes of meeting minutes and constitutions of school societies, such as the Twentieth Century Club and the Class of 1896. Also included are two volumes of car fare records from the 1920s. Mailings addressed to the school in 1930 indicate it was located at 521 East 113th Street, but it may have been located elsewhere earlier. The George M. Pullman public school building at 521 E. 113th Street was built in 1907 and was known as a vocational school.
