  • Collection summary Scrapbook (1 volume) compiled by James Simpson and mostly containing correspondence related to his Christmas mailing of 1924. Mr. Simpson reprinted Calvin Coolidge's speech: "The Spirit of the First Division" in his annual Christmas booklet. The scrapbook contains a letter signed by Coolidge granting permission for Mr. Simpson to reprint the speech and many signed thank you letters from persons who received the booklet, including famous individuals such as Andrew W. Mellon, Herbert Hoover, Theodore Roosevelt, John J. Pershing, William B. McKinley.
