Ferragallo, titled "63rd St." (1952) and "The Bases are Loaded" (1953), each running approximately 30 minutes. "63rd St." depicts daily life and travel on 63rd Street (Chicago, Ill.) in both color and black and white. "The Bases Are Loaded," is a color promotional film narrated by Jack Brickhouse about Thillens baseball stadium located at 6404 North Kedzie (Chicago, Ill.)

  • Biographical or Historical Note
    • Roger J. Ferragallo was a painter who received an M.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1953, having enrolled in the late 1940s under the GI Bill.
    • Thillens Stadium, founded by Thillens Company owner Mel Thilliens in 1938, was a baseball park designed to look like a major league ball park and available for any baseball play, rent-free. The Thillens family removed its name from the stadium in 2005, when the stadium's name became The Ball Park at Devon & Kedzie.
