  • Collection summary Primarily commercial portraits of political, cultural and theatrical personalities. Album I includes portraits of European royalty, European and American statesmen, military and religious figures; authors and composers. Albums II-IV include actors and actresses, often in the costume and attitude of theatrical roles. Most of the personalities and many of the roles are identified. Most photoprints are cabinet card size, mounted with glue directly on album pages. Also includes a few clipped portraits and articles mounted with the photographs.
