  • Biographical or Historical Note The Chicago Alliance for Collaborative Effort (CACE) was founded 1973, as a collaborative effort of private charitable organizations, such as Chicago Boy Scouts of America, Chicago Boys Clubs, Chicago Community Trust, United Charities and the YMCA, and government departments and agencies involved in human care, such as the Chicago Housing Authority, Department of Human Services, and the Mayor's Office of Manpower. Its offices were based at Loyola University's Institute for Urban Life.
