    • Correspondence (1884-1899), business and personal ledgers (1863-1896), patent specifications and data, news clippings, and other papers relating to Henry C. Rew and the National Gas & Water Company (Chicago, Ill.), of which he was president. Topics include litigation against gas trust interests, foreign and domestic travels, and family matters. Also included are three scrapbooks consisting mostly of newspaper clippings on gas and gas works (1891-1894), the Cicero, Ill., Gas Company (1893-1900), and a gas trust (1897). In addition is "Wonders of the World Abroad," by Rew, a published collection of his commentary and photographs from his travels abroad (1907).
    • Box 1 contains 2 cash and business ledgers and a travel itinerary. Box 2 contains cash books and general papers, most of which are correspondence. Boxes 3 through 5 contain general papers, most of which are correspondence. Box 6 contains materials regarding patents and 2 scrapbooks (1891-1894; 1893-1900). Box 7 contains Wonders of the World Abroad and a scrapbook (1897).
