McConochie, traffic engineer of Chicago Surface Lines, containing newspaper articles, correspondence, reports and photographs of abandoned automobiles on Chicago streets. One group of photographs documents the need for a city ordinance to allow police to tow abandoned automobiles. Another group relates the value of the cars in terms of scrap metal to be used to support World War II involvement.
