    • Correspondence, programs, reports, manuscripts for publication, radio scripts, research materials, and newsclippings of Harry A. Musham and of his father, William H. Musham, chiefly pertaining to H. A. Musham's research and writings on Chicago (Ill.) history, planning and historic preservation, and conservative politics, primarily 1931-65. Included are papers, 1883-1908, of W. H. Musham, who served as Chicago Fire Marshall, 1901-04. Topics of the Musham family papers include early Chicago history; the battle of Fort Dearborn and the War of 1812 in a manuscript entitled: The Battle of Chicago; Canadian rebellion; early Great Lakes steamboats; the Great Chicago Fire of 1871; and the "Gold Coast" area of Chicago.
    • Includes correspondence and other papers of William H. Musham (2 folders) primarily concerning the operations of Chicago Fire Department, including personnel matters, dealings with the Civil Service Commission, and the Iroquois Theatre fire of 1903. Also present are many letters of commendation and pension fund correspondence with the Firemen's Benevolent Association.
