  • Collection summary Chicago Women's Liberation Union (CWLU) poster and phonograph record. Founded in 1969, the CWLU was a radical feminist organization. The 1972 record album features The Chicago Women's Liberation Rock Band and The New Haven Women's Liberation Rock Band. Chicago Women's Graphic Collective created the poster for the 2004-2005 exhibition: Outspoken: Chicago's Free Speech Tradition, which was displayed at The Newberry Library and co-sponsored by the Chicago Historical Society.
