  • Collection summary Primarily scenes of leisure activities in Chicago that may have been taken for a newspaper. Includes scenes of the Grant Park air meet (ca. 1911-1912), beaches and people in swimming costume, racetrack scenes and jockeys. Also includes a parade on Michigan Avenue that appears to be concerned with women or women's rights, images taken from news clippings and European military news, children with buckets and wagons on residential streets and unidentified portraits of men and women.
