  • Collection summary Primarily includes views of activities of JCC and its predecessors at various locations: Chicago Hebrew Institute at Taylor & Lytle (1914), Jewish People's Institute in Lawndale (1922), and Max Straus Center (1946). Subjects include adult, junior college, secondary, elementary and nursery education; art, crafts, drama, music activities for all ages; Camp Chi for girls and a boys camp; sports activities through the physical education department; the Home for Aged; and lectures, banquets and parties pertaining to the various activities. Includes interior and exterior views of buildings.
