  • Collection summary Positive images on glass in wood mounts probably meant for projection, made by photographers Copelin & Hine of Chicago. Subjects include views of Chicago buildings before the fire of October 8-10, 1871, ruins, construction after the fire and completed buildings. Copelin & Hine also made stereographs of these views, and the glass images could be copies of previously printed stereographs.
