  • Biographical or Historical Note The George A. Fuller Co. was founded in Chicago in 1882 by C.E. Clark and George A. Fuller and soon became one of the leading general contractors in the construction industry. Beginning in 1914 the George A. Fuller Co. managed the construction of a new residence for Samuel Insull at Hawthorn Farm in Libertyville, IL. The residence at Hawthorn Farm was designed by Benjamin Marshall of Marshall and Fox and the gardens were designed by noted landscape architect Jens Jensen.
