Athletic competition is a long standing tradition at DePaul, and this collection contains ephemera related to a wide range of sports, from football teams of the early 1900s to modern day basketball. For a quick introduction to the history of DePaul football, a chronology transcribed from the DePaulian and Minerval covering 1913-1939 is available in Box 24. Many of the Athletic files provide details on the men's basketball team and contain material such as television coverage, attendance and ticket sales, and NCAA rules. Also included in this series are video tapes of athletic events, specifically of men's basketball. Information on both women's and men's varsity and intramural sports is available.
