This is a growing collection of letterheads and stationery collected by the custodian of the John M. Wing Foundation on the History of Printing. The bulk of materials were issued between approximately 1910 and approximately 1925.

The collection consists of single sheet letterheads, envelopes, and receipts issued by businesses, hotels, and individuals. Businesses and organizations include hotels, banks, cold storage and refrigeration manufacturers, food manufacturers, shipping companies, newspaper companies, real estate agencies, carriage lamp manufacturers, and libraries. The bulk of materials were issued by hotels or manufacturers. The collection includes letterheads of companies such as Quaker Oats Company, Borden’s, the White Star Line, and Bauer Type Foundry. One letterhead is a proof printed and embossed by Woodbury and Company. Geographic ranges of companies and individuals include Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Massachusetts, Maryland, New York City, Washington State, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
