Edward Hudson Hamilton was born near Syracuse, NY. He worked at the Century of Progress Exposition as a rickshaw driver, during the summer of 1933. As he worked, Hamilton took many pictures of the Chicago World's Fair, including that of various buildings on the grounds, of his coworkers, and of the fair visitors. Hamilton worked at the fair to earn tuition for his junior year at Cornell University.

This collection contains 41 photographs taken by Edward Hudson Hamilton during the course of his employment with the Century of Progress Chicago World's Fair. Photographs include visitors, rickshaw drivers at the fair, as well as various buildings and attractions on the fair grounds. All of the photographs were taken during the summer of 1933.
