The hearse carrying his body is surrounded by an honor guard, and the cortege is lead by clergymen. The cortege proceeded from the Archbishop's home at North Avenue and North State Street down State Street to Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago, Illinois. The street is lined with spectators paying their respects.
