    • Personal and financial records, newspaper clippings, and other papers of Dorothy Peacock Colton related to the Peacock family and Colton family in Chicago (Ill.). The majority of materials in Box 1 are mortgage contracts, deeds, leases, insurance papers, security records, and other records related to the estate of Charles D. Peacock, son of Elijah Peacock, who succeeded his father as owner of C.D. Peacock fine jewelry store in Chicago (Ill.). Also included are dance cards, C.D. Peacock jewelry catalogs, and materials on the "Peacock Camp for Crippled Children" (now known as "Peacock Camp"). In addition is a family history of the McLain/McLane/McLean and Rawson families, compiled by Dorothy Peacock Colton, granddaughter of Charles D. Peacock and wife of Kingsley B. Colton.
    • Box 2 contains Dorothy Peacock Colton's engagement calendars (1924-1927), address book, and a gift book. Also included are Charles D. Peacock's cashed checks (1892-1911) and a scrapbook of newspaper clippings on the U.S. financial situation (1918-1933). In addition is one folder of programs, newsletters, directories, and other papers from organizations in which Dorothy Peacock Colton was active, such as the Service Club of Chicago and the Women's Athletic Club of Chicago (1970-1973).
    • Box 3 contains printed invitations addressed to the Peacock family, primarily in the Chicago area, and to Mr. and Mrs. Kingsley B. Colton, ca.1920s-1950s.
