  • Collection summary Day book (1909-1916, receipts and disbursements) and account book (1916-1923) containing accounts arranged alphabetically for payment of members' dues in the Physicians Golf Association of Chicago (Illinois). Collection also includes miscellaneous papers (1907-1935), including minutes and reports of meetings, treasurers' reports, arrangements for tournaments, applications for membership, invoices for purchase of prize cups, etc. The board of directors met at the Quadrangle Club to prepare a constitution (1909), but meetings of the club were held at different golf courses: first meeting at Glen View in October 1901, second meeting at Onwentsia, third meeting at Midlothian, fourth meeting at Exmoor, and fifth meeting at Homewood. Members included Dr. Fernand Henrotin (President), Dr. Baldwin, Dr. Bevan, Dr. Blake, Dr. Billings, Dr. George Fisk, Dr. Hardy, Dr. R.H. Harvey, Dr. Hoag, Dr. Haven, Dr. McArthur, Dr. Martin, Dr. Marquis, Dr. Mayer, Dr. W.A. Pusey, Dr. Wessels, Dr. Walker, Dr. Walls, Dr. Thomas J. Watkins, Dr. George Webster, Dr. Wilder. Includes notice of meeting to be held 1935 July 15 to dissolve the organization.
