    • Materials written and collected by Sprague, a Chicago historian of gay culture, including his correspondence, copies of articles written by him, lecture notes and syllabi for courses he taught for the Chicago Gay and Lesbian History Project (initially called the Lavender University), notes to his slide lectures on homosexuality in history, and sound recordings of conferences, interviews, and disco music. Also present are topical files containing photocopied articles and book chapters pertaining to homosexuality, which Sprague assembled for his research, and slides of published images and other materials used by Sprague to illustrate lectures that he presented (although the slides are not numbered to correlate to particular points in the lectures).
