    • Scrapbook ca. 1930-1939 containing newspaper clippings and memorabilia related to the career of Karen Stephany. Clippings describe dance performances at night clubs around the U.S. and the Century of Progress World's Fair. Also included are telegrams, programs, and other memorabilia documenting her touring and performances, as well as a car accident in which she was injured. Memorabilia includes a menu from Chicago area club Colosimo<U+2019>s at 2126 S. Wabash, owned by organized crime leader Giacomo "Big Jim" Colosimo (often called Diamond Jim).
    • Karen Stephany, born Florence Peck, was a dancer in the Chicago area. She was self-taught, performing rumba, tango, Balinese, Hawaiian, and other dances on tour as a solo performer and later with her husband Bob Tinsley, bandleader for Bob Tinsley and His Orchestra.
