    • Images, mostly made Sept. 2002- March 2003, by these photographers: Antoinette Beckman, Phyllis Cerny, Eugenia Fawcett, Alan Havlick, Pam Havlick, Kent Jager, Jane Kriete, Russel Kriete, Betty Kubis, Curtis Larsen, Lynne Lee, John McCarthy, Robert Siepka, Tal Sloka, and Carolyn Sparling. Chicago and the following towns and suburbs outside of Chicago are represented in the collection: Arlington Heights, Aurora, Berwyn, Downers Grove, Lisle, and Woodridge.
    • The following buildings and locations are shown: new John H. Strojer Hospital, Calumet River, Saint Boniface Church, School and Convent, Lucy Flowers High School, Central Park El Station, Garfield Park Conservatory and Field House, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Moody Church, Marina Towers boat docks, Teddy Bear exhibition at Chicago Cultural Center, a Chicago trolley, a skateboard park, residential, and commercial buildings. Also includes photographs of activities at the 63rd Street beach, Memorial Day celebrations, Chinese New Year parade in Chinatown, Summer Dance in Grant Park, Mayor Daley<U+2019>s Kids and Kites fest, and Buskerfest.

  • Acquisition information These slides and many accompanying photoprints were the gift of the Chicago Area Camera Clubs Association (CACCA) and gift of the individual photographers as part of the Chicagoland-in-Pictures project, an annual competition sponsored by Chicago Historical Society and CACCA since 1948. These images were accepted into the collection during the 2002-2003 competition (2003.0075).
