The collection also includes views of Chicago's Navy Pier, its harbors, beaches, cemeteries, and parks.
    • Photographs relate to: construction and demolition in Chicago neighborhoods, including renovation of CTA elevated train stations; events, including Chinatown festival, Air and Water Show, events held in Lincoln Park and in Grant Park. Churches include Saint Andrew Ukrainian Church, Victoria Church, Wicker Park Lutheran Church, Sinai Congregation, Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, Christ Lutheran, Fourth Presbyterian, Christian Science, and Saint Nicholas.   • Acquisition information These slides and many accompanying photoprints were the gift of the Chicago Area Camera Clubs Association (CACCA) and gift of the individual photographers as part of the Chicagoland-in-Pictures project, an annual competition sponsored by Chicago Historical Society and CACCA since 1948. These images were accepted into the collection during the 1996-1997 competition (1997.0166).
