- Legal opinions, docket books, briefs, correspondence, account books and other personal financial records, and other papers of Henry S. Robbins, a Chicago lawyer. Most materials relate to his service as counsel for the Chicago Board of Trade and Chicago Railways Company. Chicago Railways Company eventually was folded into the Chicago Surface Lines. Collection includes opinions for the Board of Trade by Robbins and others (5 v., 1868-1924); a volume of opinions delivered by Robbins (1897-1917); dockets compiled by Robbins (4 v., 1887-1927); a minute book of the Cleveland Telegraph Company (1900); a volume listing his personal library; an address book; several account books, primarily about his personal finances and investments; and scrapbooks of newspaper clippings, form letters, etc. re. "gold" Democrats, and selected quotations, (2 v., ca. 1895-1898).
