  • Collection summary
    • Primarily modern copies of photographs made originally ca. 1868-1973 of Palmer family members, Palmer family estates, portrait photographs, and 1933 Chicago World's Fair. The photographs detail the social lives of the Palmer family and other family members, including the Cantacuzene family; the Grant family; Bertha Honoré (niece of Bertha H. Palmer); Henry H. Honoré, Jr.; Bertha H. Palmer; Gordon Palmer; Honore Palmer; Posey Palmer; and J.H. O'Neill, Jr.; Potter D'Orsay Palmer; Potter Palmer II; Potter Palmer IV; Rose (Movius) Palmer; Clifford Rodman; the Thorne family; and Arthur Wood. The collection also includes photographs taken of the Palmer estate established ca. 1910-1914 in Sarasota County, Florida; the house, known as the Palmer Castle, built in 1882-1885 at 1350 North Lake Shore Drive in Chicago; and the 1933 Chicago World's Fair.
