Alling, Raddin attended Chicago public high schools and matriculated to the College of Liberal Arts at Northwestern University. Raddin, a fellow Northwestern alumnus, on June 28, 1892, in Evanston. The couple had one daughter, Louise, born January 4, 1898. Belle Raddin was a prominent Evanstonian, one of the first members and presidents of the Evanston Woman’s Club (1907-1908) as well as the president of the University Guild (1918-1920). Raddin was involved in church and social circles in Evanston. She and her husband moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1921 and returned to Evanston in 1929. Belle Raddin died on May 29, 1930.

Belle and Charles Raddin’s three scrapbooks contain clippings, images and souvenir items relating to the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition, a world’s fair held at Chicago, Illinois, celebrating the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus’s landfall in the western hemisphere. The three scrapbooks each pertain to a certain aspect of the Exposition. One volume provides an overview of the fair and its international aspects as shown through newspaper clippings and graphic images. The second volume holds information and images pertaining to the buildings and pavilions built specifically for the Exposition. The third volume features information and images, largely newspaper clippings, pertaining to the newly constructed Art Institute of Chicago and the art collections displayed during the fair.
