Each series contains an invidudual student's papers which are in the order they were received.

The Illinois Training School for Nurses, which later became the Cook County School of Nursing, trained thousands of nurses since its founding in 1880. This collection contains student class notes, assignments, and other ephemera from their education and training. These materials offer insight into the range of work and medical policies and procedures understood and completed by nursing students in the early to mid twentieth century.
