  • Biographical or Historical Note The Marigold Bowl was Chicago's oldest bowling alley run by a single family. Three generations of the Fagenholtz family operated it since it opened in 1941. It also was noted for its policy of accepting teams composed of minority groups (Japanese Americans in 1950; African Americans; Gays).
