    • Correspondence, notes, reports of meetings, brochures, receipts, photographs and clippings relating to Leonard Fuchs' interest in consumer and labor organizing activities in Chicago during the Great Depression. The collection includes a few items issued by the United Conference Against the High Cost of Living (Chicago), Alice Belester, secretary; Consumers Service Council (Chicago), Central States Co-operative League; Chicago Cooperative Federation; and the League of Women Shoppers (Chicago, New York, and Washington). Topics include regulation of the quality and cost of meat in Chicago and information for establishing workers' cooperatives. The collection also includes a small amount of letters and photographs from the World War II era, mostly letters from Jewish men in Austria requesting assistance in obtaining visas to the United States.
