  • Collection summary Flyers, informational handouts, newspaper clippings, correspondence, meeting agendas, stickers, and other materials related to the Chicago Tribune strike, ca. 1985-1987. Most of the materials are from the perspective of the strikers; however, two manuals on techniques to respond to strikes are included. An oversized folder contains protest signs, posters, and a picketing apron. The three unions involved in the strike were Chicago Typographical Union No. 16, Chicago Web Pressmen's Union Local 7, and Chicago Mailers Union Local 2. The collection also includes newspaper clippings, flyers, newsletters, and other materials relating to the Anti-Crosstown Coalition, ca. 1972.
