Includes a volume on Women's Council by-laws and meetings, 1893-1901; records of business committees, 1897-1906; and a register for July 25-Oct. 31, 1893. A copy of the 62nd annual report is included. Thomas B. Carter served as the organization's secretary for many years. Supporters of the Society came from several denominations, and efforts were made to place Bibles everywhere, regardless of denomination, in sites such as boats, prisons, reform schools, hotels, hospitals, private homes, missions, and railroad trains.
