The company presented puppet performances. Collection includes 2 scrapbooks and miscellaneous scrapbook pages of newspaper clippings and programs relating to the Chicago Miniature Opera plus Mrs. Ernest Wolff's scrapbooks (4 v.; 1930-1937) about traditional opera in Chicago. Mrs. Wolff's scrapbooks contain newspaper clippings and brochures relating to opera performers, performances, and venues in Chicago (Ill.), including materials on the Chicago Civic Opera Company and the Chicago City Opera Company. Dates of volumes: Vol. 1, 1930-1932; Vol. 2, 1932-1936; Vol. 3, 1936-1937; Vol. 4, 1937.
  • Biographical or Historical Note Ernest Wolff's Chicago Miniature Opera Theater performed at Frederic Chramer's Kungsholm Restaurant in the former McCormick mansion on Ontario Street at Rush Street in Chicago. Both the restaurant and the theater closed in 1971.
