- Biographical or Historical Note The Original Baron and Bailey Light Circus was a visual and audio experience conceived by industrial designers William J. Baron and William M. Bailey. The installation involved lights, a movie clip of prairie chickens, and animated slides of various subjects projected on panels made of a variety of materials. Animated images were also projected on a cyclorama to produce strong visual effects. A soundtrack derived from the sound of corn growing accompanied some of the images. The exhibition was on view from June 25 through July 7, 1968. On July 6 and 7, the band Haymarket Square performed live in the exhibition.
